without a Knight Rider lunchbox?

It's a painful memory, but choke back the tears and re-visit it for just a minute. Yeah. That sucked, didn't it?
Don't relive that hell on Monday, Jan. 28 when all the cool kids at work are talking about how awesome BlogSavannah was that Friday (Jan. 25).
They are undoubtedly among the 90 people who have registered so far.
Just trying to help you save some face. After all, your shrink has enough of your whiny problems to deal with, no?

My blogging buddy Scott Larson kindly reminded me this evening that I had already missed a full day of blogging opportunities for Blog My Dust '07. It's kind of a long story how Blog My Dust '07 was born. For context, go here and be sure to read the string of comments following the post.
That said, here's my first stab at original content. Seriously, I don't think I've ever had an original thought on this blog aside from things having to do with excretion.
If this post wasn't already named, you might call it, "The Tattler," or, "Things that bug me about my neighborhood," or, "Things that bug me about the nicer neighborhood that borders my neighborhood."
And here are a couple of those things:
* The abandoned, forlorn American Red Cross building at the corner of E. Taylor and Habersham.

Yet another historic Savannah building being held hostage by Inman Park Properties. For the record, I'm not the only one who has become impatient with this developer, whose habit it is to buy up old buildings and sit on them or develop them and not take care of them. I'm just sayin' it like it is, Yo. Don't hate the messenger.
* The really fancy modern chic home being built at the corner of Jones and Habersham.

It's a cool house. It is. But it hurts my eyes as we pass it walking on our way to eat at the Firefly Cafe.

Any opinions on this?
