Day Nine: even his sharts are precious

He is opening his eyes more and more. The doc said his being 3 weeks early might be why he was so sleepy during the first week. We have taken to naming his sharts "shit torpedoes" both because of the sound they make and the suddenness by which they strike. We half expect the baby to fly across the room with the velocity of which they seem to be moving from butt to diaper.

Oh, the shart amazement will continue for the next few years. Oh, the effort it takes babies to relieve themselves.

Yes, he will be quite sleepy until he hits his official due date. That is common of babies born a wee bit early. Then, he will awaken and you will have a whole new baby. Ours, born at 36 weeks were really sleepy until their due date and then...LOOK OUT! :) It really was an amazing and fun change. So, enjoy this sleepy time and try to get some yourself!

He is TOO precious.

I know I keep saying this, but he is soo darn ahhh-dorable. He looks like both you and Christian. His eyes are to die for. I so wish we lived closer. You done good!
